December Events...

On december 2nd. three tornadoes skipped across Chivilcoy touching down in different locations around the city.  Winds of up to 100 mph destroyed trees, blew off roofs, blew down brick walls, burst plate glass windows, and left a massive mess in the entire city.

Recent Bible Institute graduate Omar and B.I. Student Diego spent two weeks in Chivilcoy doing evangelism in the neighboring town of Alberti.

"Towards More Biblical Counseling"

Our speakers were both "missionary kids" and serve as missionaries in Mexico City and Santiago, Chile.

Messages were both instructive and personally challenging.

Times of fellowship were thoroughly enjoyed!

The food was delicious!!

October 18 to November 1 Work Teams

28 visitors helped for two weeks on three major projects at camp.

A group of ladies made drop-down curtains for the dining/meeting hall.

Others worked on hanging over 300 square feet of vinyl tongue and groove ceiling in the dining/meeting hall.

21 cubic yards of cement filled sidewalks around the perimeter of the building as well as the grilling area.

Around two thirds of 1,800 feet of storm fence was hung, and over 1,800 feet of farm fenced was treated with a tar based paint.

We're grateful for the hundreds of hours of labor invested at camp as well as participation in ministries at church while the group was here!

Ongoing Work on the New Church Auditorium!

Lu works on structure for the new platform (recycling materials!).  Three sections with removable caps will permit the storage of platform extensions used for special events.

End of the day and almost finished!!
Lord willing next week finish work around doorways and columns will done along with finish stuccoes.  All the ceiling materials were purchased two weeks ago.  When finish stuccoes are completed we'll be able to install it!  The tile for the floor was purchased last month.  Pray with us for God's supply of funds needed to pay labor for laying the tile.  Some rock work will be done around the baptistery and telescoping doors will be hung on each side of the platform.  Thank you for praying with us!

New Auditorium Under Construction

On Monday, August 26th. we began dismantling the temporary chapel we've used since June of 2004!  In the previous months the new walls were erected and as much stucco as possible was done.
Our friend Lu and his wife Bev are here for two months to help with the transition.  Lu has pretty much completed the electrical, audio and visual installation of the new auditorium.  The picture above shows Lu working between the exterior wall of the temporary chapel and wall of the new auditorium.

Work begins on dismantling the temporary chapel.

Sheetrock was removed revealing the steel studding.

Work went on all week and on Saturday everything had to be cleaned and set up for Sunday Services!

Monday work continued on rough stuccos.  Also ducting for central heat was installed.

Please join us in praising God for these advances and ongoing work. Pray with us for about five thousand dollars still needed to completely finish the auditorium.

Annual Benefit Supper for Youth Attending Camp

For three consecutive years our youth have prepared a brief play with a spiritual message followed by a supper open to the entire church family.  A love offering is received, all of which is used to help defray the cost of attending this month's winter youth camp.  Different ones from church donate the goods for the supper, and the wives of the youth leaders, along with Debbie, do the food preparation.  The young people are there to serve the tables.  Please pray for six or eight of our young people who will be attending camp.

Calzones were prepared in advance of the supper
Baked apples were served for dessert with whipped cream and caramel
